reduce server lag and improve farms to make them more efficient

The main concept revolves around hoppers. Players tend to use thousands of hoppers in their farms. Since many of these farms operate continuously and never stop producing, this leads to constant item transfer. That means all those thousands of hoppers are always active—and that's just one farm. Multiply that by the number of players with similar setups, and it becomes a major performance burden on the server.

My Suggestion:
A very simple optimization would be to make hoppers transfer 64 items per tick instead of just 1 item per tick. This would reduce the number of item movements significantly, as transfers would happen in bulk rather than one item at a time. As a result, most hoppers wouldn't need to run constantly, helping to reduce overall server load.

You can even make this adjustable via a special tool or configuration, allowing players to set the transfer amount per hopper if needed for specific redstone machines.

Conclusion:
I hope this suggestion is taken into consideration. I believe it's an effective and simple way to reduce lag and improve server performance.
